Top Ten Tuesday (7)

Top Ten Books I Have Lied AboutTop Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created  at The Broke and the Bookish.

Hey guys.
So this weeks Top Ten Tuesday is about "Books i have lied about"

To be honest i cant say i lie about books, Before i fell in love with books i was a music FREAK. Did i say was? ok i still am!! so anyway, i used to lie about the type of music i listened to to make other people happy then i got over it and now i listen to what i want. The same with books, i tend to read what ever i want, i am proud to say i once liked twilight books but now at a second glance i could burn every twilight book in the world. Its not because of the hype or the poor acting but they are just poorly written.
So i definetally dont really care about what people think about my books, or my music, they are my escape zone, not theirs,

The Top Ten Books I Can't Believe I've Never Read:

Wuthering heights - Emily Bronte: Alright so this is a tail every body has read right? not so, i always hear people going on and on about it how awesome it is, truth have it, i havent gotten around to it yet.

Catcher in the Rye - J. D . Salinger: Another classic that i only just "really" thought about reading when a friend suggested it to me the other day on face book, i always ask people to recomend me books, and this one came up.

The Cinderella Secioty - Kay Cassidy: not exactally and old book but from before it came out i wanted to get it and i kick myself every time i see the cover and realize i havent gotten it yet. *sad face*

Book 5  of the Black Dagger Brotherhood - J. R Ward: i loved the first three books in the series then got to book four and it is so boring, i gave up on it, but i dont think its the series fault, i just dont think i was that in to the character it was about. Every one i have spoken to says the same about book 4 but raves about book 5, sooo slap me now.

The Diary of Anne Frank By Anne Frank: how lame am i? i have wanted to read this book since my friend Kimmy went to the house where she hide out, she told me so many good thinks about it and i have wanted to read it ever since, matter of fact im going to order it on TBD as soon as i am done here,

My Story by David Pelzer: wow, this book as been floating around my family for a very long time! the generation above me was quite a messed up one and my mother told me if i ever wanted to get a glimps of what she went through, to read this novel, i started it but couldnt get through the first chapter.

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson: i think The Book Mystress, is the only person that doesnt get it when Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde jokes are cracked, so i just laugh along,

1984 by George Orwell: heard about this novel a very long time ago, i think i was about 14, yeah, still havent read it.

Bram Strokers Dracula: OMG, i love vampires but i have never read the paranormal fictions king of kings,  i have offically noticed i am lame!!!

Les Misérables by Victor Hugo: it has its place in fiction, a lot of people i look up to say its a must read, it used to be really daunting, now i just want to know what it's about.

Tell me what you think, dont forget to leave your link below,  i love TTT's

Top Ten Tuesday (3)

This week's topic:
Top Ten Authors That Deserve More Recognition

  1. Laurie Halse Anderson: She's Awesome, Enough Said
  2. Lisa Schroder: I really love reading her stuff and dont hear about her that much.
  3. Anne Rice: I know, she's awesome, but if more teens read books like Interview with a Vampire and Vampire Lastat, they would understand what a real Vampish novel is. (no offence intended)
  4. Jessica Shirvington:

She's Australian, I'm Australian, gotta rep that one.

  5. Jenna Black: Shes an awesome writer

  6. Susie Day: I loved 'My invvisible boyfriend but dont hear many people talking about it
  7. Chloe Niell: Havent heard much about her, i liked firespell,
  8. Mike Foley: Have you heard of him? WWE Hall of famer? Well he is an amazing Author, not only does he have his own biographies, he has some pretty awesome fiction books, (and i love the WWE) Shhh

Alright i tap at 7, i hate not finishing things. I read alot of main stream books. I maybe able to do a more intense list of this in a while after i have been blogging a little longer,

What are your Under-Rated Authors?

Top Ten Tuesday (2)

Top ten Tuesday, Weekly MeMe hosted by the awesome The Broke and The Bookish

Top Ten Pet Peeves:
Top Ten Bookish Pet Peeves (all those things that annoy you in a story, with book covers, bookstores, etc.).

1. Plastic over the covers of library books, i get why its needed i just hate it.
2. Stamps through borrowed books, again, i get it i just dont like it.
3. People at my local bookstores are usually rude and look at me like i am an alien, while there is no proof that i am not, i think i almost single handedly keep these people in business.
4. People that look at me weird when i say "I read anything, mostly paranormal or young adult." Hello, its not just for young adults and just because i like to read about vampires does not mean i am going to kill you or your children, or like i am about to start sparkling or something i mean come on, i am a dark person, you are not, its not that bad. (sorry for the rant)
5. Why are todays book covers so damn pretty?
6. People who continously make fun of the type of stuff you read, then read it and love it.
7. Slow online orders, i order them online so i dont have to wait for it.
8. Hardcovers annoy me
9. lots of reviews in or on the cover, i mean kool alot of people like your book, but i would like to make my own opinion of it, i dont really care if Stephanie Meyer, or Stephen King thing its marvilous, i will make my own opinion and millions of review lines jumping out at me scares me off.
My biggerst pet peeve when it comes to bookish things, is
10. People who can read 3books in two days, then rub it in, hey guess what if i take  5 days to a week or longer to read a book, this means i enjoy the story, or am not in competition with you!!

So this kind of turned out more like a rant then anything else, thanks for listening, xx
