Booking Through Thursday (8) Rut

Do you ever feel like you’re in a reading rut? That you don’t read enough variety? That you need to branch out, spread your literary wings and explore other genres, flavors, styles?

Yes, to be honest my whole entore life is a rut. hahe, but lets keep it bookish.
I read a wide enough variety, I am currently Reading Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead and A blue so dark by Holly Schindler and i read every thing inbetween so i am not in a rut there.
I am, however, in a rut when it comes to actually reading. I kind of go through stages where i dont read for about a week then i will have a couple of weeks on.
I am a paticually slow reader so it really sucks when it comes to reviewing books.
But i guess that is why i do so many of these awesome memes.
Another rut i have which isnt really a rut its kind of more a run, I cant stop buying books, being a slow reader and a impulsive buyer is kind of bad for my unfurnished room. lol. Being in the middle of moving and have no furiture is funny, i think i have more books then i do clothing at the moment, and i still have atleast 100 at the other house

Top Ten Tuesday (7)

Top Ten Books I Have Lied AboutTop Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created  at The Broke and the Bookish.

Hey guys.
So this weeks Top Ten Tuesday is about "Books i have lied about"

To be honest i cant say i lie about books, Before i fell in love with books i was a music FREAK. Did i say was? ok i still am!! so anyway, i used to lie about the type of music i listened to to make other people happy then i got over it and now i listen to what i want. The same with books, i tend to read what ever i want, i am proud to say i once liked twilight books but now at a second glance i could burn every twilight book in the world. Its not because of the hype or the poor acting but they are just poorly written.
So i definetally dont really care about what people think about my books, or my music, they are my escape zone, not theirs,

Booking Through Thursday (7) Age Appropriate

Booking through thursday is a weekly MEME hosted Here. I asks Questions every week for bloggers to answer.

This Weeks Question:
Do you read books “meant” for other age groups? Adult books when you were a child; Young-Adult books now that you’re grown; Picture books just for kicks … You know … books not “meant” for you. Or do you pretty much stick to what’s written for people your age?
My Answer:

I dont stick to books that are "Meant" for my age group. I do read mostly young adult because that is what interests me, i just find it easier and young adult have more of the stories i like, but i do enjoy some Adult books, nothing better then an Adult book  in the winter.
I'm 23, kind of in between young adult and adult, i dont see the need to separate the genres, my favourite Adult series is The Black Dagger Brotherhood - JR Ward, just such a nice series.hehe.
When i was younger and i read Adult books it made me feel pretty bad ass haha,

What are your answers?

top ten tuesday (5)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created  at The Broke and the Bookish

The Top Ten Books I Can't Believe I've Never Read:

Wuthering heights - Emily Bronte: Alright so this is a tail every body has read right? not so, i always hear people going on and on about it how awesome it is, truth have it, i havent gotten around to it yet.

Catcher in the Rye - J. D . Salinger: Another classic that i only just "really" thought about reading when a friend suggested it to me the other day on face book, i always ask people to recomend me books, and this one came up.

The Cinderella Secioty - Kay Cassidy: not exactally and old book but from before it came out i wanted to get it and i kick myself every time i see the cover and realize i havent gotten it yet. *sad face*

Book 5  of the Black Dagger Brotherhood - J. R Ward: i loved the first three books in the series then got to book four and it is so boring, i gave up on it, but i dont think its the series fault, i just dont think i was that in to the character it was about. Every one i have spoken to says the same about book 4 but raves about book 5, sooo slap me now.

The Diary of Anne Frank By Anne Frank: how lame am i? i have wanted to read this book since my friend Kimmy went to the house where she hide out, she told me so many good thinks about it and i have wanted to read it ever since, matter of fact im going to order it on TBD as soon as i am done here,

My Story by David Pelzer: wow, this book as been floating around my family for a very long time! the generation above me was quite a messed up one and my mother told me if i ever wanted to get a glimps of what she went through, to read this novel, i started it but couldnt get through the first chapter.

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson: i think The Book Mystress, is the only person that doesnt get it when Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde jokes are cracked, so i just laugh along,

1984 by George Orwell: heard about this novel a very long time ago, i think i was about 14, yeah, still havent read it.

Bram Strokers Dracula: OMG, i love vampires but i have never read the paranormal fictions king of kings,  i have offically noticed i am lame!!!

Les Misérables by Victor Hugo: it has its place in fiction, a lot of people i look up to say its a must read, it used to be really daunting, now i just want to know what it's about.

Tell me what you think, dont forget to leave your link below,  i love TTT's

Booking Through Thursday (6) Personality.

btt buttonIn a related question to last week’s–
I was reading the other day a quote from JFK Jr who said on the death of his mother, that she died surrounded by family, friends, and her books. Apparently, Jackie’s books were very much a part of HER, her personality, her sense of self.
Up until recently, people could browse your bookshelves and learn a lot about you–what your interests are, your range of topics, favorite authors, how much you read (or at least buy books).
More and more, though, this is changing. People aren’t buying books so much as borrowing them from the library. Or reading them on their e-readers or computers. There’s nothing PHYSICAL on the shelves to tell strangers in your home, for better or worse, who you ARE.
Do you think this is a good thing? Bad? Discuss!

Hmm interesting question. I actually stopped to discuss this one with my little brother and my mum and came to the conclusion it depends on the person. If you walked in to my room you would know i like to write, i like stationary, i like books and i like music. but if you looked further in to it you would find out more.
I think if you looked at my books that i like Paranormal and literary Fiction but that is pretty much all you would find, I guess in the e-reader i have on my lappy the genres have a bit more range, i have fantasy and romance, but they are purely for review.
I dont think you would get much about my personality from my books. You would probably find out more about me if you looked in my music, Everthing From Hard Rock <3 to Country back around to Celine Dion and The Spice Girls, yeah my music tells me im a pretty all round person who likes any thing.
My Books how ever containing Lisa Schroeder, Laurie Halse Anderson, Jay Asher, Alyson Noel, Richelle Mead, Kim Harrington, and many more along those two lines tells my i like to read the same two genre's over and over again.
Back to the question at hand.
Do i think that people not buying books is a bad thing? Absolutly. Just because my books dont quite match my actual personality  they do match a tiny bit of it, and if you look at my mums books or some other people i know then yes, they do match thier personality, i do love my books, they are a part of who i am, i display them like i do my Avenged sevenfold posters, well, my books got set up before my A7X posters at the last place i lived in and probably will when i get my stuff here too, haha,

So thanks for reading my babble, if you made it all the way HERE then leave a comment telling my WHY lol,

thanks for stopping by

Booking Through Thursday (5) Visual

Booking through Thursday, a meme hosed @ BTT

This week:
So … the books that you own (however many there may be) … do you display them proudly right there in plain sight for all the world to see? (At least the world that comes into your living room.)
Or do you keep them tucked away in your office or bedroom or library or closet or someplace less “public?”

Heres the deal, i live with family, we have a book case in the living room filled with my mums books, then in my room there are my bookcases filled with my books and stationary, (i am also a stationary junkie) and next to me on my coffee table are 6 books (plus stationary) that i am either currentally reading or just like the look of.
so i am thinking even though they might not jump  out do a dance and say *i'm a book take notice* i am sure people definetally take notice, i love my books, i dont know where i would be with out them.

Some Kool BTT's i found this week:

(Click the button for the host)

I think my brothers and I are genious’ we are for ever pranking each other,  I chose to speak of these two pranks because I have picture proof. J

I am pretty sure I did something to my brothers morning coffee, in return he put my hold entire bedroom bookcase and all outside, even down to the clock I have on my wall.  It was a good one I have to give him that. I decided to go out and have a lie down that’s me my other brother and our dogs.

So in return that night while he was showering to get ready to go out I decided to silly string and toilet paper his car, his face was priceless, we have been playing a prankish game of cat and mouse ever since,

How about you? Besure to leave your answer or your link at the bottom!

W.O.W: Pearl

Waiting on Wednesday, Hosted here <3

Expected publication: July 19th 2011

Pearl - Jo Knowles

Bean (née Pearl) and Henry, misfits and best friends, have the strangest mothers in town. Henry’s mom Sally never leaves the house. Bean’s mom Lexie, if she is home, is likely nursing a hangover or venting to her friend Claire about Bean’s beloved grandfather Gus, the third member of their sunny household.

Gus’s death unleashes a host of family secrets that brings them all together. And they threaten to change everything—including Bean’s relationship with Henry, her first friend, and who also might turn out to be her first love.
