This Weeks Question:
Do you read books “meant” for other age groups? Adult books when you were a child; Young-Adult books now that you’re grown; Picture books just for kicks … You know … books not “meant” for you. Or do you pretty much stick to what’s written for people your age?My Answer:
I dont stick to books that are "Meant" for my age group. I do read mostly young adult because that is what interests me, i just find it easier and young adult have more of the stories i like, but i do enjoy some Adult books, nothing better then an Adult book in the winter.
I'm 23, kind of in between young adult and adult, i dont see the need to separate the genres, my favourite Adult series is The Black Dagger Brotherhood - JR Ward, just such a nice series.hehe.
When i was younger and i read Adult books it made me feel pretty bad ass haha,
What are your answers?
I love this question! We are all so diverse!

It is interesting to see what draws readers, and I think the main consideration should be story and characters.

A commonsense approach, I think.
ReplyDeleteI liked adult books as an older teen because it made me feel grownup. Today, I read whatever I find appealing, regardless of the age appropriate designation.
