Goodreads Synopsis
Laying hands upon the injured and dying, Avry of Kazan assumes their wounds and diseases into herself. But rather than being honored for her skills, she is hunted. Healers like Avry are accused of spreading the plague that has decimated the Territories, leaving the survivors in a state of chaos.
Stressed and tired from hiding, Avry is abducted by a band of rogues who, shockingly, value her gift above the golden bounty offered for her capture. Their leader, an enigmatic captor-protector with powers of his own, is unequivocal in his demands: Avry must heal a plague-stricken prince—leader of a campaign against her people. As they traverse the daunting Nine Mountains, beset by mercenaries and magical dangers, Avry must decide who is worth healing and what is worth dying for. Because the price of peace may well be her life..

My Review:

Touch of power started of very quickly, we leaped right in to action I have never really been in to these types of novels but Maria got me hooked. I find my self uncomfortable when people create their own worlds, in fact when i opened the book and saw the map of the fifteen realms I freaked the hell out. But i sucked it up and started the book and i fell in love, against my normal minds will. Even though Kerrick and Avry get on my nerves ninety percent of the time, i still enjoy reading about them, but i smiled greatly every time resident popa bear had a scene. Maria's writing doesn't make it hard on the imagination but there was something about Belen that made me warm inside. I could just imagine him more then any one else.

I found my self laughing, crying and rolling my eyes at this novel, not all at once, thankfully, it would have hurt.

The ending of the novel was predictable, but not the way it came about, lets just say i knew something would give in the end to make that happen, i dont thing that gives too much away.

I do recommend you go and buy this novel as soon as possible as book two is already out.

Maria V Snyder, keep it up!!
